Could You Be The One?
Poetry By, J. M. Lilin
If I wished upon the stars –
Would it take away my scars?
If I gave away my pain-
Would you let me be slain?
The voices of doubt could destroy me if I fall away too long.
Like a never-ending sentence that forms into a pain-inflicting song.
For after all this time under the whispering voices, I’ve finally knelt.
Just when I thought I was done for and feel all there is to have felt.
Will these be the end of me?
Will I be cast out in a torturous sea?
Or would you lend me some honesty?
Maybe give away to me, your loyalty?
I’m waiting at your shores.
Could you be the one to take away my scars?
