The Rain Was Never Haunted

It has been a while since she was not alone.

She used to spend her nights in lack of melody.

There were no voices to take the demons to a slow town.

There will only monsters shredding loose the tone.

She was too anxious to speak out loud.

No one was around to understand why she did it.

Only that she rarely showed up unless she was told.

She found therapy in injury.

If she had not dreamed of you, she would have never been saved.

She felt your warmth in the icy clasp of a river.

How you found her in the deepened of the forest.

When an entire storm was brewing.

What a mystery it is that your green eyes took the grey from her blue.

May your gaze tear away the darkness.

May you remember that she suffered in her own mind.

Let your voice be the one that leads her away.

To a place that crosses out the place that once killed her.

There were no voices to take the demons to a slow town.

Now you have spoken and revealed that the rain was never haunted.

Thank you so much, Frederick. Your support and comments mean a ton and the idea of poetry not existing in another lifetime…I believe that poetry will always exist…just not always in words. It is the inspiration that counts and in someways…that will always exist.
