Be Inspired To Not Wait To Live

I could die tomorrow. I could die today. I could die in an hour. In any moment that comes could be my last. So, why am I so afraid of living? Why should I worry what others think? Why am I so afraid of the judgement? I could die in the next hour and I’m sitting here wondering what he or she is thinking of me?

No. Stop. I should be enjoying this hour as if it is my last. I should be chasing my dreams and not wondering if I can or if others will be revolted by the path of life, I didn’t choose but created.

“You don’t have to find out you’re dying, to start living.”

Zach Sobiech

Enjoy every moment. Laugh at that stupid joke. Cry during that sad movie. Talk to that beautiful person you cannot stop looking at or find so intriguing. Go into that store you’ve always been curious about. Read that book. Buy that candy. Pick some strawberries. Turn your music up in the car.

Why are you letting yourself be chained up by doubts? You’re being chained by your own mind. You are allowing doubts and anxiety hold you back when you should really just step forth and volunteer to risk your own nerves. Your heart should be racing because your excited, not because your afraid.

Go forth and have an adventure.

Block out the judgement.

Smile and do what you love.

Why should you worry what your family thinks? What your friends think? If they love you, they will accept you as you are. Why should you be what others want you to be? If it saps you of your small joys or complete happiness, what is the point? You should be taking up your own path and not the path others planned for you.

LIVE! I am begging you – please just live your life! You only have one life and I will tell you right now that you will regret not doing it more than you will regret the experience of it. Make memories and not what if’s?

If you don’t want to go to college – don’t! Get a job, quit that job, get a new job. Go to a trade-school and try a career for a few years before going to try another career. You want to spread the gospel – take your friend and travel the world while doing it. Visit another state. Film your life. Smile at a stranger.

If you want to dye your hair blue or purple – dye it blue and purple! If you want a tattoo of either a star or a flower – get a tattoo of a star and a flower! Sing in the shower, scream if you want. Dance with your friend in the kitchen and cover yourselves in flour. Start a garden. Paint a canvas. Learn an instrument. Try a different clothes style every week.

Bring your loved one flowers when it’s not Valentines day! Kiss them when they least expect it. Make them smile! Sing together in the car! Go on unexpected midnight adventures and vacations to travel the world! Show them how much you care about them. Write a poem to that girl. Tell that boy you think he’s cute. Say hello.

Don’t wonder if someone cares. Ask them! Don’t hope someone knows you care. Show them! Tell him that you think about him. Tell your best friend how much they mean to you. Tell your parents that you appreciate them. Tell that person you want to get to know them.

If you’re in pain, you message your best friend. If you feel lonely, go out and meet someone new! Do yoga beneath the stars. Jump into that lake in your clothes or without them. Run. Go to a dance. Wear that princess gown. Cut your hair. Take on three different hobbies a week. Try something new. Go somewhere new. Make your life your own life and no one else’s.

Stop thinking too much.

The world is so beautiful. So, so very beautiful. There is art that makes us stare. There is music that makes us both want to laugh and cry. There are movies that make you feel warm inside. There are rollercoasters that make you scream. There are stormy days for you to dance in the rain. There are sunny days for you to swim in an ocean. There are hundreds of people for you to meet.

I truly am begging you. We sometimes forget – but we have one life and it belongs to us. We shouldn’t choose a path. We should create a path. Don’t wait until you’re old to travel. Don’t wait until the weekend to have fun. Don’t wait until you are alone to be yourself. Don’t wait until you find out your dying to live.

  1. Excellent post and message! It is so true about the path of life. I love the advice of “we shouldn’t choose a path. We should create a path.” That’s what I’ve done. I always tell people that it doesn’t matter what path you walk in life, as long as you get to your intended destination. Nice work! 😊

I am so happy to hear that you’ve created your own path in life. It is important to become ourselves and not what we are expected to become. Thank you so much!

Yes, Greg! I’m so glad you agree! It makes me so sad that there are those that don’t understand they are allowed to truly live and not just follow.

This is a hopeful message. Why wait for a better moment or day? Live like you mean it. No glory is ever gained without taking chances. Life is a chance itself. Your positivity shines through your words. 🙂
