Friend Or Foe

Peace and joy can be stunning in a heavenly way.

Poems about true love and a happily ever after.

How I enjoy those wonderful endings.

In this world of human and art.

I do not want to only see something filled with smiles.

Humans have an attic in their mind.

A web with droplets of each precious emotion.

That attic has an average size, but my attic is a mansion.

Too many webs and too many thoughts.

Will I ever have enough time to completely wrench each drop of ink away?

Do not have faith that I will only write about inspiration.

I am not going to be stuck in one web.

There is a million webs.

I want to write with the droplets of ink from each one.

I do not only want to write about joy and love.

I want to write about each part.

I want to write adjectives for the steep edge of depression.

I want to write adjectives for an ocean of racking anxiety.

To describe the darkness that keeps claws around our nightmares.

To have others understand the feeling of being lost.

A broken heart here and a lost one there.

Each piece is gorgeous in my eyes, friend or foe.

This is exciting! This part grabbed my attention and I wanted to highlight it: “Humans have an attic in their mind. / A web with droplets of each precious emotion. / That attic has an average size, but my attic is a mansion. /Too many webs and too many thoughts.” And, I loved the concluding line!

I hoped someone would be intrigued by that. When I was younger, I really did think there was rooms in our mind and so I use things like that, imagination from my own childhood and my writing today. I’m so glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for taking the time to read and leave me such wonderful feedback.
