I have been telling stories all my life. Before I could write, I loved to tell my family stories. I loved to make my many siblings laugh with characters I made up. I was the official daydreamer. Staring off into space and imagining the impossible.
Sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.

Today is my birthday, August 2. Of course I’m still young but I feel like I’ve lived a million years. Over my years of writing, I’ve lived as a million people. I’ve become a million people. I’ve met a million people. I’ve lived in a million worlds.
I’ve grown in many ways. I’ve learned something new every day. I’ve become my own person and learned that trying to be others is just stressful and useless. Being myself is most important. Being the friendly, laughing…also clumsy…girl who loves to daydream is who I am and no matter how old I get, I will never grow out of that.
I love to write. It is what drives my purpose. The three a.m. thoughts that don’t allow me to sleep. It is the dreams that inspire me to wake up in the morning. The unsigned writer inside of me taking everything it can to create whole new worlds and wonders.
Which brings me to my blog. Where I get to be free in my creativity and build my daydreams into something real. Something I can share with those other dreamers. I am so thankful for all my followers who are friendly and give me helpful feedback.
Last year, when I started sharing my work, I had a goal to have at least 100 readers before my birthday. I had a goal. I set a deadline.
I didn’t expect to get too many readers. I had a goal to reach one hundred follows before my birthday. Yet, here I am. I reached over 300 follows. I am growing. I’ve been entering and winning contests. I’ve been sharing stories and getting wonderful feedback. I’ve been writing my heart out and I love it.
Everyone has a purpose in life and my purpose is writing. One day, I hope to become a best-selling author and I will not give up on that dream. I want to be the author of the next amazing fiction series and I am slowly making my way there.
To my followers, my readers, my friends – thank you so much. I can not express enough how much I appreciate all of your feedback and support. I am doing my best. I am enjoying every second of it and it is inspiring to know that there are those of you that look forward to what I come up with.
Just keep working towards your goals because it is possible. You can do anything you want if you want it enough. Just don’t give up. If you’re stressed about something right now, it won’t last forever. There are things you’ve stressed about before and don’t even remember what it was now. It will pass.
Just keep trying! Be yourself. Work towards your goals. You can do it.
We’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one.

Is that a stock photo, or did you take it? I’m curious, because I think I recognize the skyline, but it isn’t a recent photo because there’s a very prominent building missing from the skyline. (Construction on the missing building in question began in 2013, I had to look up that part)

I’ve seen a little bit of your photography page. Like I said, I was curious because I’m a nerd about maps and cities and things like that, and I recognized the skyline. It’s San Francisco, and from looking at a map I’d guess the picture was taken from Twin Peaks or somewhere around there. I’ve been to San Francisco many times.
