Song For The Summer

A Song For The Summer

Poetry By, J. M. Lilin

I wanted to write you a poem, something precious and sweet.

I wanted to give you my soul, through creativity and wonder

Simply words can say it all.

So, I gave you these words, through paper and ink.

I wrote these words with my heart and soul.

Just for you, these words were meant.

To tell you just how much you mean to me.

How I think of you in every awakening hour.

How you rest inside my dreams at night.

So, I gave you these words, through paper and ink.

I wrote these words with my heart and soul.

Only, I do not know what my words should write.

I suppose a song for the summer will have to do.

  1. Oh, Niharika, that is so kind. It fills me with great joy to hear that you enjoy my work so much. I love – absolutely love – imagining and then writing. I am so grateful for your support and to know I have readers like you, supporting me, inspires me to keep going. You’re a motivation for me and I’m grateful for that. Thank you so much and keep spreading your wonderful personality. πŸ’™
